About Us
Strive Learning & Interventions provides a flexible, Alternative Provision for children and young people who require a more personalised and supportive approach to education.We work with learners who may be struggling to access mainstream education due to anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), special educational needs, social, emotional or mental health needs (SEMH), prolonged disengagement, or placement breakdown. Our approach recognises that many learners need time, trust, and consistency to re-engage meaningfully with education.Strive delivers a blended provision model, combining high-support small-group education with targeted one-to-one intervention where required.

Personalised, Flexible Learning

Individual programmes designed around each learner’s needs, strengths, and goals. Provision may include core academic subjects, personal development, and skills-based learning, agreed in partnership with the commissioning school or local authority.

SEND-Inclusive Provision

SEND-Inclusive Provision All sessions are adapted to meet individual needs, with particular experience supporting learners with SEMH needs, anxiety, low self-esteem, and engagement difficulties. Reasonable adjustments are embedded into delivery.

Small-Group and One to One Support

Delivery is provided through a blended model of targeted one-to-one intervention and high-support small-group provision, ensuring learners receive the right level of support at the right time. This flexible approach supports confidence-building, engagement, and personalised learning within a calm, structured, and emotionally safe environment.

Holistic Support & Mentoring

Learners are supported to develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and key life skills alongside their education through mentoring and positive relationships.

Wellbeing-Focused Approach

Wellbeing-Focused Approach Our relationship-based, trauma-informed approach naturally integrates emotional wellbeing into each session, ensuring learners feel safe, supported, and valued.


Key Stage 2

Key Stage 2

Our Key Stage 2 provision focuses on re-engagement, confidence-building, and core skills, supporting learners who may be experiencing anxiety, SEND, or early disengagement from education. Maths, English, and Science Reading Handwriting and fine motor-skills Cooking & Baking Creative arts and craft activities PSHE Therapeutic Interventions Delivery is structured, nurturing, and adapted to support emotional regulation and engagement.

Key Stage 3

Key Stage 3

Key Stage 3 programmes are designed to rebuild engagement, develop independence, and support learners who may be experiencing anxiety, ESBA or have SEN needs, through early adolescence. Maths, English, Science & Geography Digital Skills ASDAN Short Courses (e.g. Animal Care, Sports, Foodwise, Gardening) PSHE Therapeutic Interventions Provision supports both academic development and social-emotional growth, with adjustments made to meet individual needs.

Key Stage 4

Key Stage 4

Key Stage 4 focuses on qualifications, employability, and preparation for adulthood, supporting learners who may be at risk of exclusion or disengagement. GCSE: Maths, English, Science & Geography Functional Skills: Maths & English ASDAN Employability & Careers Personal Development & Preparation for Transition Enterprise and life skills projects Careers guidance, CV writing, and interview preparation PSHE Therapeutic Interventions

Therapeutic support is embedded within our provision to support emotional wellbeing, engagement, and self-regulation. Interventions are delivered by trained staff and adapted to individual needs.
